+ Market Team +

Warwick Furnace Farm is a family-owned and operated lavender farm located in the heart of French Creek Valley in northern Chester County PA. We are looking for candidates with a dynamic, positive personality and strong sales instincts to join our team and represent our brand at artisan and farmers markets primarily in southeast Pennsylvania. We are a historic all natural brand so must be willing to dress accordingly to match our aesthetic. 

This is a part time position. Must be willing to work Saturdays with occasional weekdays and Sundays from March - December.

We are seeking candidates for a position as MARKET COORDINATOR.  Responsibilities include:

  • The Market Calendar; scheduling, staffing, communications with market organizers, and maintenance of public calendar on our website.

  • Identifying and applying to new potential markets.

  • Participate in identifying additional market sales staff and assist in training.

  • Market Prep - Packing inventory and maintaining displays, set up needs for markets. Assist with inventory management protocols. Maintain a tidy and organised market storage area.

    The market coordinator would also be expected to handle sales (responsibilities outlined below) at an agreed schedule of markets.

    The market coordinator may also assume other office responsibilities (outlined below), as agreed.  The work schedule of the market coordinator would be based on the responsibilities and markets that the coordinator undertakes.

We are also seeking candidates to assist us on a part-time basis as MARKET SALES STAFF.  Responsibilities include:

  • Transportation and setup of market stand including tent, weights, tables, display items, inventory for sale, signage and appropriate sample items. (*Must be able to lift heavy totes, put up a tent solo, and follow a set up template)

  • Interacting with customers, demonstration of products, providing education and answering questions about lavender, our farm and our products.

  • Managing transactions and point of sale duties such as providing change and e-mailing receipts.

  • Encouraging engagement with mailing list sign ups and follows on social media platforms.

  • Maintaining proper inventory and returning any unsold items to the farm.

Compensation is based on an hourly rate plus a threshold-based commission.

+ Farm Office & Production +

We are seeking candidates for a position in our OFFICE.  Responsibilities include:

  • Online Order Fulfillment - Packing & Shipping

  • Inventory Management - Keeping track of inventory levels (and ingredients + materials stocked)

  • Product Production - Assistance in making lavender products (following recipes/instructions, bottling, labelling etc.)

  • Product Production 11 - Sewing eye pillows + and floral crafts (bouquet assembly,wand weaving, floral crowns and mobiles.)

  • Working in our Farm Store and at Farm Events - Assist in set up for Farm Events

  • Website Maintenance - Squarespace Site - Create and manage inventory listings, keep calendar and announcement bar up to date, manage acuity scheduler for reservations and make basic site modification).

  • Writing - Engaging social media captions, product descriptions and newsletter copy. A plus if able help with grant applications.

  • Social Media - Assist with content creation and engagement.

  • Maintain tidy and organized workspace.

Warwick Furnace Farm is a family-owned and operated lavender farm located in the heart of French Creek Valley in northern Chester County PA. We are looking for hardworking people with a dynamic, positive personality and a background in sustainable farming to join our team. This is a seasonal time position from May - August. We are a historic all natural brand so must be willing to dress accordingly to match our aesthetic. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assistance in the fields with row preparation and maintenance, planting, plant care and harvesting

  • Assistance in the greenhouse with propagation and plant care

  • Garden & property maintenance

  • Assistance with oil distillation and production of natural lavender products

  • Handiwork with Lavender bundles and the weaving of lavender wands

WEEDING IN THE LAVENDER ROWS

Spend a few hours in the fresh air weeding the lavender rows with the beautiful hilltop view.
