HELPING HANDS
DESCRIPTION
We can always use a hand with field preparation and maintenance in the warmer seasons. Spend a few hours in the fresh air weeding the lavender rows with the beautiful hilltop view. Early in the season we plant baby lavender as we expand our fields and fill in all of the rows. The lavender bloom, summer’s end, and into fall always require quite a bit of weeding to keep the lavender healthy so we appreciate any available help.
We will be offering FARM CREDIT to put towards activities on the farm (field visits, yoga, picnics, or wand weaving workshops) or lavender product (does not include the essential oil gift boxes or hand turned vases) in our farm store at the rate of $12 an hour and our eternal gratitude.

We suggest;
[ ] Farm appropriate long work pants/overalls with closed toe work boots with socks*
[ ] Your preferred method of protection from sun (hat and sunscreen) and bugs
[ ] Gardening Gloves
[ ] Refillable Water Bottle
*The lavender field is at the top of a hill and requires some walking to access and there are bugs that you will want to protect yourself from.

Planting the baby lavender takes place in the earlier hours before temperatures rise above 70 degrees and cannot happen in the rain. Weeding can take place in light rain if enjoyable to the weeder! We monitor the weather the day before and reach out to provide any weather-related updates at that time or in the morning.
