Warwick Furnace Farm is a family-owned and operated farm in rural Pennsylvania. The farm is located in the heart of the French Creek valley in Chester County, home to the historic Warwick Furnace, a furnace that furnished armaments for George Washington’s army, produced the Franklin stove and manufactured the components for the first metal-clad ship during the Civil War. The farm’s stone buildings and barns date back to the 18th and 19th centuries. The farm is surrounded by more than 500 acres of preserved land in a valley with the pristine French Creek flowing through it. We principally grow lavender at Warwick Furnace Farm. We strive to be environmentally thoughtful in our farming, production and packaging choices. Our plants are Certified Naturally Grown without herbicides, pesticides or synthetic chemicals; using only natural and organic soil amendments.
Our Family
The Rosen family moved to the farm in 2016, marking a significant new chapter in their lives as they transitioned from suburban Montclair, NJ, to a rural setting. They embarked on a journey as stewards of this historic site and farmers-in-training. They began their lavender business with a few test beds but by the height of the lockdown in June of 2020, their lavender fully bloomed for the first time. The pandemic forced them to process everything in-house, learning as they went together as a family. Everyone brought something different to the table. The community embraced this as a special respite from the world.
Edward Rosen
Edward, retired as a law firm partner, has a passion for woodworking and restoration. He has leveraged his strengths in science, research and invention to master the distillation and formulation of the lavender products and oversees the restoration and property preservation.

With an extensive collection of 18th and 19th century cookbooks at hand, she is able to use primary source material for both preparing historic recipes and presenting lectures on various aspects of food history, customs, and cultures of long ago…. Dolly is the farm’s ambassador, head of sales and our culinary department.
