WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Twirl, jump, and plié in our Fairy Dance Class Series.  These enchanting experiences are available for young dancers ages 3-6 to enjoy playful, beginner-friendly ballet moves.  Each session is a seasonal theme inspired by a different classic ballet. Open to all-levels (no prior dance experience required). This class is held indoors in the Owl’s Nest in the Dairy Barn unless otherwise noted.

Spring
Saturday, April 26 11:15-12 PM
The Bunny Hop to the Tales of Beatrix Potter Ballet
Tutus and Bunny Ears encouraged

Summer

Lavender Flower Fairy Class to the Waltz of the Flowers
Lavender Colors encouraged
This class will be held in the Lavender Field weather permitting

Fall

Woodland Forest Class to SLEEPING BEAUTY - Fairy of the Woodland Glade
Come as your favorite woodland creature
This class will be held in the Woodland weather permitting

Winter

Sugar Plum Fairy Dance Class to the Nutcracker Ballet
Tutus and Tiaras encouraged

Sign up your little ones for the children’s session and enjoy some child free shopping in our farm store.  Caretakers kindly plan on staying at the farm for the duration of the children’s class. 

Class Duration: 45 minutes
PRICE $20 per child

  • All Participants (and their Parents) will get a 10% discount at our farm store during the event

  • As we are limiting the number of guests who may participate, we regret that the reservation fee is non-refundable. Please check the date and time carefully when purchasing. If you must cancel please let us know ASAP and if we find someone to take your reservation, we are happy to offer you a credit to a future event at the farm.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Katherine Mills-Yatsko (Katie) is an interdisciplinary artist currently based in West Chester, PA. With a background in dance, fibers, and sculpture, Katherine is constantly seeking to find connection and intersection between movement and making. She graduated with honors from James Madison University, Dance (BA) and Studio Art (BS) in 2019 receiving multiple awards for both her choreography and her installation/performance work. Upon graduating, Katherine moved back to the Philadelphia area to pursue dance performance opportunities where she has danced with Vanessa Long Dance Company, 3 Pony Show, and Glorify Dance Theatre. Beyond her dance performance career, Katie has 5+ years of dance teaching experience and was previously Co-Director of the Student Company performance group at Ballet 180 School in Paoli, PA.
