Private Group Tour

RESERVATION DESCRIPTION

We begin the private tour on our *hilltop Lavender fields, where guests are given a brief history of the property, an overview of our Lavender cultivars and their uses, and an introduction to our region specific growing practices and are invited to walk amongst the rows of flowers, looking out over the Thomas P. Bentley pastoral preserve. Subject to availability we are able to provide a Lavender-cutting demonstration where guests go home with their own hand-picked Lavender bundle. The tour is finished off with a refreshing glass of our Lavender lemonade, and the option to visit our farm store or formal garden as guests leave the farm. Private group tours are for 15 to 30 guests.

*With unfavorable weather (ie rain or extreme heat) the presentation is held in our temperature controlled Owl’s Nest space in the Dairy Barn.

  • We are at the mercy of Mother Nature, as she determines when various cultivars begin to bloom and how long those blooms will last. Our English cultivars are typically the first to start blooming in early June, followed by our French cultivars in late June/early July. The peak bloom is typically the third and fourth weeks of June, lasting into the first two weeks of July, with variations from season to season. Consult our Bloom Schedule to see past images of the fields by date. Check our Instagram or Facebook for Lavender Field Status updates in season.

  • Unfortunately, weather in our valley is also unpredictable. In the case of intermittent or light rain we suggest rain gear and will conduct part of the visit in the dairy barn, but in the case of the threat of more severe weather we may need to cancel/reschedule your visit. We monitor the weather the day before and reach out to provide any weather-related updates at that time or the morning of the event.

  • As we are limiting the number of guests who may book the farm on any day, we regret that the reservation fee is non-refundable. Please check the date and time carefully when scheduling. You can modify your reservation date up to four weeks before your visit. If you must cancel please let us know in advance of the start of the event.
